🚀 I am excited to announce the release of Screenboard - a MacOS app that allows users to write anywhere on their screen!
With Screenboard, your screen becomes a digital canvas where you can add annotations - including over other apps. You can annotate with freeform writing or with shapes and have access to many editing features. Screenboard makes it easy to quickly toggle between annotating and interacting with other apps - and includes many familiar keyboard shortcuts that seamlessly switch between colors, tools, and modes. You can also toggle on a digital whiteboard for distraction-free annotating.
Screenboard is great to pair with iPad + Apple Sidecar or a drawing tablet - and supports annotation over multiple monitors (for dual-monitor setups) and full-screen apps. You can also switch between multiple pages, allowing you to add more drawing space without having to erase all your annotations.
Screenboard has many customization options! You can customize the available colors, the appearance of the cursor and toolbar, and more. All customizations sync with iCloud to ensure that using Screenboard on multiple computers is a breeze.
I especially designed Screenboard with teachers and presenters in mind. As a computer science instructor who often switches between slides and real-world code examples in other programs, annotating on the screen is great for writing out key concepts, working through problems, and annotating code written in other programs!
